ARCTIC and MAXON at Chillventa 2026
At Chillventa 2026, we showcased ARCTIC refrigeration solutions and the MAXON air conditioning range. Discover how we are responding to European market trends, from lower-GWP refrigerants and system efficiency to tailored equipment and distributor support.
From 13 to 15 October 2026, Nuremberg once again brought together the international refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump community. MB Frigo Group exhibited at Chillventa with two separate stands. ARCTIC showcased refrigeration equipment developed and manufactured in-house, while MAXON presented its air conditioning range and support offering for prospective distributors.
The exhibition highlighted several interconnected trends across the European market. Alongside lower global warming potential refrigerants, the focus is increasingly on overall system efficiency, compact design, application-specific solutions and support throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Lower-GWP refrigerants
R290, CO₂ and A2L refrigerants are becoming increasingly prominent across equipment categories, from compact refrigeration units to commercial and industrial systems. Selecting the right technology requires careful consideration of the application, operating temperatures, safety requirements and installation conditions.
At the ARCTIC stand, we presented several solutions addressing this transition. These included R290 MONOBLOCK units for smaller cold rooms, ARCTIC FS refrigeration units using the A2L refrigerant R454C, and ARCTICO₂ MULTI CO₂ solutions.
This breadth of products supports an approach in which refrigeration technology is selected to meet the specific requirements of each project.
Overall system efficiency
Refrigeration system efficiency depends on the coordinated operation of compressors, fans, controls and other components. The ability to adapt to changing loads and actual operating conditions is particularly important.
In this segment, we showcased ARCTIC VQ refrigeration units featuring inverter-driven scroll compressors, EC fans and electronic controls. Matching refrigeration capacity to the current cooling demand is a key part of this approach.
For project-specific CO₂ solutions, parallel compression and heat recovery options further connect refrigeration with the building’s wider energy needs. Each configuration is selected according to the application requirements.
Compact solutions and practical installation
In smaller shops, hospitality venues and other premises with limited space, compact equipment and straightforward installation are becoming increasingly important.
ARCTIC MONOBLOCK units integrate the key refrigeration system components into a single package for smaller cold rooms. This design suits projects where available space needs to be used efficiently, with each unit selected according to the required capacity and operating conditions.
Practical installation was also a key theme in our presentation of ARCTIC CELL cold rooms, with an emphasis on a high degree of pre-assembly and silicone-free assembly.
Tailored manufacturing and OEM partnerships
Standard dimensions and configurations cannot meet every spatial or operational requirement. Adapting equipment to the specific site therefore remains an important part of refrigeration solution development.
The central message of the ARCTIC stand was “WHEN STANDARD DOESN’T FIT, CUSTOM STARTS HERE.”
We presented ARCTIC CELL modular cold rooms that can be manufactured to customer-specified dimensions, alongside cold room doors tailored to project requirements.
We also introduced distributors and manufacturers to our OEM partnership opportunities, including the manufacture of cold room doors under their own brands and to agreed specifications. This connects our in-house development and manufacturing capabilities with partners’ needs across different markets.
MAXON and distribution network development
In air conditioning, a quality product needs to be backed by accessible technical, sales and after-sales support. Training, spare parts and marketing tools are also essential for distributors developing their business.
At Chillventa, we presented MAXON’s residential, multi-split and commercial air conditioning systems, drawing on the brand’s more than 20 years of experience in the Adria region.
Prospective partners were introduced to our 360° support concept, covering technical assistance, training, product and spare parts availability, marketing, sales and after-sales support. The aim is to build long-term partnerships and support the brand’s development in new markets.
Building international partnerships
Chillventa 2026 gave us the opportunity to exchange knowledge with existing partners and open discussions about new distribution, project and OEM partnerships.
We continue to develop ARCTIC and MAXON through solutions that combine technical requirements, practical application and support for our business partners.
